Family

I thought I would share a little bit about myself here on my blog.  My wife and I have 5 kids ranging from 14 down to 11 months.  We have 4 boys and one daughter.  We absolutely LOVE having a big family, I guess we would say “it just works for us”.  We are continually saying that we couldn’t imagine our lives any other way!  Don’t get me wrong, there are those moments when our house is very crazy and a little out of control but always in a fun way. ;)   One thing we love to do as a family is vacation together.  Trish and I have always put vacationing on the top of our priority list.  The past couple of years we’ve been looking for places to vacation as a family and last year we found a place that we could see returning to each year…Myrtle Beach, SC is an amazing place to be with your family!  The resort we stayed in was right on the beach and had an amazing pool, which we all loved!  We are currently looking for some new vacation ideas for our family in the upcoming years.  We would love to hear about some new spots so feel free to leave a comment below with any suggestions  :)

A couple portraits from our Myrtle Beach trip last year…

Our 3 year old decided that he would like to run instead of walk along the beach.  Totally not scripted… I was loving it!

From oldest to youngest…Once again our 3 year old had something different in mind.

Our youngest who looks completely different now because he has hair and teeth… :)

Danielle & Jimmy :: Philadelphia Wedding

This post is very long over due.  To all of you who follow my work here on my blog, thanks for your patience.  My busy shooting season is right around the corner and I can’t wait!  Now on to Danielle & Jimmy’s wedding which I really had a great time shooting.  Danielle & Jimmy are the type of people that you just love to be around, their contagious smiles and warm personalities make them so fun to be with.  Their reception was held at Cescaphe Ballroom in Philadelphia, one of my favorite places to shoot.  My beautiful wife shot this one with me and a bunch of her photos are in the mix.

Check back often this week as I will be posting my top 5 favorite locations I shot at in 2009!

Danielle - Thanks Mike & Trish!! They are amazing :) Going to be so hard to choose….

The Knot Live :: Kim and Ben

The Knot Live is broad casted live from their office every Wednesday at 1:00 EST and features a variety of segments — celebrity wedding vendor interviews, fashion segments, trends, and a live interview each week from a Knottie.  Well, this weeks Knottie is one of my amazing clients, Kim.  Kim and Ben’s wedding was last October in Philadelphia at the Curtis Center, if you haven’t checked it out, click here.  We are all so excited to be part of this, so if you have some free time today at 1:00 pm, be sure to go here and check it out.  Her interview will be toward the end of the show.  If you are not available to watch it at 1:00, you can always go online and watch it later here.

Philadelphia Wedding Preview

Danielle & Jimmy’s wedding was Awesome… there’s really no other way to describe it.  Here’s one of my favorite images from their wedding.  I’ll be posting many more in the next few days!

The M Family :: Portraits

I recently shot these family photos.  A couple of the cutest kids you’ll see! :)   Travis & Heather… you guys are SO blessed with such a beautiful family!

Darlene - These are so precious!

Shannon & Aaron :: Winter Wedding

Shannon and Aaron were so brave on their wedding day, no they did not ski down a black diamond hill, or go ice-fishing, but it was sure close! :) …they withstood the FREEZING temperatures to take pictures OUTDOORS in 15 degree weather (if that).  I want to thank my ever fabulous and amazing second shooter, Trish Landis (who just happens to be my wife).  Her images are sprinkled throughout the post.  Thanks Shannon and Aaron for trusting us to be a part of your day!

Shannon’s dad seeing her for the first time…

Shannon and Aaron chose to do a first look before their ceremony.  I just love when my brides and grooms choose this, it is such an emotional moment that they get to share with one another.

I Love My Job!

I photographed this awesome family recently and I just love how this image came out.  I’ll be posting more from this session soon.  for now enjoy this one…

Michaela - Now if we could all have crazy awesome hair like that. So jealous!

Brittany Whiteman (Heather’s cousin) - So sweet! Looking forward to seeing more!
