Business Advertising – One of the Methods I Use is a Folded Flyer That Looks Like a $100 Bill

Monday, November 28th, 2011

Wow! Business advertising that looks so much like a $100 dollar bill when folded. When you open it up it has your advertisement inside! Advertising is so critical to any business whether its radio, tv, person to person, referrals, business cards, banners, road side signs, billboards, online through adwords, websites, tele-marketing, flyers, and so many different types of advertising available to us that sometimes it seems to be so overwhelming, so which type do we choose?

The fact is that it seems that we can never do enough advertising no matter what advertising we choose to use. It is important to try multiple different forms of advertising and see which kind works best at different times. Make sure to document the amount of leads you receive from different forms of advertising and the different times of the year and maybe events that may be happening to effect advertising strategies.

Open your mind up and see what other people are doing and modify their ideas or strategies. As mentioned above one of newest strategies I am using is called $100 dollar leads (drop cards). Who wouldn’t pick up a $100 dollar bill if they seen it laying on the ground someplace, a restaurant, a store, a mall, or any place for that matter!

Leads are such a vital tool in any type of business. The key is to approach leads when you get them and never throw them away unless the the person is rude or maybe hangs up on you if it is a phone conversation. Always-Always ASK them for other referrals. Leads in business can generate hundreds-thousands-if not millions of dollars in business, sometimes it is because of the referral that they give to you. as one of my mentors says every dud knows a stud!

I have been involved in business since I was a young boy while helping my parents with several carwashes. I have been involved in my own successful businesses for over 20 years. I have used many forms of advertising but I have yet to see one quite like $100 dollar lead generating flyers.

Nine Ways To Finance Your Business

THE CHALLENGE
In the midst of an era of rising taxes and cutbacks it’s no wonder new businesses are struggling to make ends meet. Whilst there are signs of a recovery, the challenge for new businesses is raising the finance to help their business grow.

BUSINESS PAYMENT SUPPORT SERVICE (BPSS)
On 24th March 2010, the Chancellor announced that the BPSS or Time to Pay (TTP) arrangements would be extended although for large arrears of £1m or more an Independent Business Review will be required. The TTP arrangements is an offering of assistance to businesses to pay their tax bills and includes VAT, PAYE, NIC, Corporation Tax and Income tax (for the self employed). Each repayment plan is tailored to meet the circumstances of the business.

WORKING CAPITAL
We should continue to look at internal liquidity to source finance.
1. Delay investment until absolutely necessary
2. Crank up credit control
3. Pay on time but never early
4. Bring revenue forward
Whilst we are now technically out of the recession, debts will continue to go bad with some sectors bearing the brunt more than others. This could be further exacerbated if banks start to take a closer look at their smaller business loan books.

Bringing revenue forward is often the hardest obstacle to overcome but it can be carefully built into the business model by insisting on up front billing or stage payments. Of course some justification may be required but monthly billing is much easier now with cost effective software like Kashflow and upfront payment has become increasingly the norm with the rise of ecommerce. You have to ask do you really want clients who can’t afford to even put a deposit down.

ENTERPRISE FINANCE GUARANTEE SCHEME (EFGS)
The EFGS has been extended until 31 March 2011. The scheme has been created to support up to £1.3bn of new lending by banks, is open to businesses with a turnover of up to £25m, is designed to enable businesses to secure loans of between £1,000 and £1m, repayable over 10 years. The government guarantees 75% of the loan, with the banks covering the remaining 25%. Most businesses in most sectors are eligible for the scheme and the guarantees are available through the main high street lenders.

SECURED LOAN
Under normal circumstances you would expect a bank loan to be the cheapest source of finance. However, (more…)

Inexpensive And Effective Business Advertising Tips

When it is a cheap form, yet a large value of advertising, you can not go wrong with promotional material. These types of articles include items such as pens, pencils, magnets, umbrellas, etc.. But there are some things, some things that are more like those things.

One thing you must remember when deciding what promotional items to give, you want to offer something that people can actually use. Some things are disposable and do not stay very long. You can give all promotional materials on what you want, but much ends up in the trash.

So what good did he do? Pens, pencils, calculators and calendars will all be used on a much higher than the literature will be examined. But there is a promotional item that always tops the list and is the most popular item to receive them all. Promotional t-shirts are by far heads above anything else that you can give away at a reasonable cost.

The reason that people love t-shirts so much is multilayered. People love free things, everybody knows that, but people have a love of t-shirts that is almost unexplainable. T-shirts never go out of (more…)
